As you know, I wrote to M Georges Gaucher, the President of Desserts-Lambert, the company that purchased the Dairy, enquiring as to the soon-to-be vacated production facilities. His response:
Thank you for your email. We were upset and sad to have to make this tough decision. The personnel at the Dairy were a great group of individuals who helped us try to keep it going. But, at the end of the day, we had to decide how to proceed and it was the only possibility. On the plus side, keeping the original ingredients and recipes will help local consumers keep that special flavour.
When we bought the company, we did not purchase the building or the land. I believe it is still owned by Mr. Alex Kepecs. I will forward your email to him.
Best of luck with your project.

So.
The $7.6 million that was paid for The Stoney Creek Dairy was for the equipment and the name. Not the land, not the buildings. Mr. Gaucher's belief is that Mr. Kepecs retained ownership.
Which means I have to get in touch with him to find out what plans there are for the property and everything that includes.

I'm always interested in feedback, differing opinions, even contrarian blasts...as long as they're delivered with decorum...with panache and flair always helping.
