Cal DiFalco's 'The Hamiltonian' is a local blog dealing with local issues in an informed, erudite way. It presents all manner opportunities to discuss the stuff that deserves -nay, needs- to be discussed. I heartily recommend you check it out; there's a lot of great exchanges being had there daily...even if these exchanges include the odd bit of slung mud.
